Some visitors mention that during peak hours, the cafe can feel a bit crowded, leading to wait times for seating.

There are also occasional reports about slow service during brunch rushes, which can detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

This place was awesome. It was our first time there. The place was clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly. We are a larger family and were able to find a seat and enjoy a good home away from home cooked meal. My kids loved the old fire fighter memorabilia and the fact that the restaurant was once an old fire house. I would definitely go here again to eat, and would recommend this place to anyone in Hutchinson.

My wife and I were looking for a good place to eat that was locally owned. I got the breakfast burrto with ham and hash browns. I had a choice of homemade salsa or picante sauce with my burrito and I choose the salsa. The homemade salsa was unbelievably good. My wife ordered the French toast and there were four pieces. The bread pieces were big and thick and they took up the entire plate. The portions were big and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. It looked like the business was family owned. The cafe is located in an old small firestation. This is a small "hole in the wall cafe" which for me, is what I loved about it. It is a seat yourself cafe. The atmosphere was obviously a fireman theme. Great food, good service, and we will definitely go back.

I have been to Firehouse Cafe at least a couple of times now. Their biscuits and gravy were great. The chicken fried steak with eggs breakfast was great. I am a harsh, hash brown ash-hole when it comes to critiquing. So, I saw a soggy looking hash and had a negative connotation. I tried it and immediately ate my thoughts. Somehow, they were not burnt, and yet they were crispy. I was amazingly surprised. Thank you for the excellent service with a smile and great food.
